OVERVIEW OF REALIZATION CENTER'S SUBSTANCE ABUSE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES Specialized Services
Within the Framework of: Substance Abuse Treatment: I. Rapid Stabilization Program "Ambulatory Detoxification" Brief Ambulatory Detox stabilization and treatment readiness monitored by Realization Center's Medical Director who is a Board Certified Psychiatrist (Addictionologist). Most patients can be safely detoxified over the course of three to seven days depending on the complexity of the situation. This typically will involve daily visits (including Saturdays and Sundays) with the physician, participation in daytime or evening Treatment Motivation groups, and individual counseling sessions. II. Partial Hospitalization Program/Day Program A combination of group and individual sessions which includes varying schedules from 15 to 25 hours per week depending on level of intensity required. In addition to the daily group and individual sessions, clients in the alcoholism and substance abuse clinic attend daily on premises self help (AA-CA-NA-OA) group meetings. III. Intensive Outpatient Treatment The Intensive Outpatient Program combines the flexibility of outpatient treatment with a structured curriculum where the client can learn new adaptive behaviors while practicing sobriety and coping with reality. This program is available both days and evenings. Includes psychiatric evaluation and medical management as needed. Individual sessions will be scheduled on an as needed basis. IV. Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment A less intensive program for the evaluation and treatment of individuals in trouble with substances, relationships or themselves who require minimum care. Participating may include psychiatric evaluation, medical management, individual counseling, group therapy, psycho-education and family involvement.
